Acceptance and Enrollment
We offer admissions based on various factors including age/age-ratio per classroom, availability of schedule, potty training status, diversity, suitability of the family to the Neo-Humanistic approach and of course one’s number on our wait-list.
Fall enrollment requires children to be at least 30 months old by September 1st. Some children may become eligible a few weeks to up to one or two months after the fall session begins, typically between mid-September and November. In these cases, families may either remain on our mid-school year wait-list and enroll when a spot becomes available, or reserve a spot by beginning tuition payments in September, with attendance beginning once the child reaches age and potty training eligibility.
Once you are accepted, you will receive an offer letter with an enrollment packet via email from our enrollment coordinator.
To reserve a space, a non-refundable enrollment fee, which includes the registration fee and 50% of the first month’s tuition, must be submitted within the time frame specified by the enrollment coordinator. The payment of 50% tuition is fully applied to the first month’s tuition but is non-refundable if you choose not to enroll your child at New Day School. An enrollment meeting will be scheduled to submit the paperwork and complete the enrollment process. Your child will also be invited to visit the school for half an hour outside playtime before they start in order to facilitate a smoother transition to our community.
